Our human experience can be a whirlwind of feelings, and some may shrink away in fear of the emotional battering that brings.
These art works called me to lean in to the beautiful mess that is life (and making). To get my hands dirty with the messiness of living - raw, expansive, bittersweet, sublime, unexpected, overwhelming, real, heart-wrenching, magical, painful.
For my skin to literally be stained - with pigment and experience.
